Symbiosis: In production & coming soon!

This album is shaping up to be an epic sonic journey through music that reflects Chris’s love of Rock music, Jazz Harmony, Improvisation & Grooves. A ‘Symbiosis’ of Rock & Jazz if you will. The album showcases Chris’s composition skills & the next level of development of his playing style onward from his 2017 release ‘The Velvet Worm’. Symbiosis features some of Melbourne’s most renowned & accomplished players including Gerry Pantazis - drums, Craig Newman - bass, Kit Riley - bass & Phil Turcio - keys. Stay tuned!

The Velvet Worm (2017)

The Velvet Worm would probably be best described as a contemporary Jazz Album. There are influences from Jazz, Bebop, Blues, Latin, Blue Grass finished off with an odd time Jazz Rock Epic 'The Girl From Murrumbeena', based on the changes from the Bossa Nova classic 'The Girl From Ipanema'

EQ’s music has been shaped and influenced by such jazz-fusion luminaries as Wayne Krantz, Oz Noy, Allan Holdsworth, Chick Corea, Tribal Tech, Weather Report and The Yellowjackets, as well as artists such as Robert Glasper, Robben Ford and John Mayer amongst others, and seeks to meld the music of these artists together into their own organic style.
